Amy Bordwell, M.A – Clinical Intern Therapist
Feeling overstimulated, hormonal, burnout, overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like you’ve lost yourself somewhere along the way?
Life can change quickly. One day you’re managing everything, and the next you’re wondering why nothing feels familiar anymore. Maybe you’ve recently become a parent, are navigating a major life transition, adjusting to a new relationship, experiencing a breakup, or simply feeling disconnected from the person you used to be.
I work with women, young adults, adolescents, and new or expecting parents who are trying to make sense of life’s transitions while carrying the weight of anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, and changing identities.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like they should be handling things better than they are. They tell themselves:
- “I should be able to do this on my own.”
- “Why does everyone else seem to have this figured out?”
- “I don’t even know what I want anymore.”
- “I’m disappointed in myself.”
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

My Approach
My therapy style is honest, collaborative, and grounded.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can talk openly about what’s actually happening in your life without fear of judgment. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, help you untangle complicated emotions, and support you in figuring out what you truly want—not what everyone else expects from you.
Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change using practical tools and strategies you can apply outside of session.
I integrate:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
- Narrative Therapy
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Nature-Based Therapy
What to Expect in Therapy
When we work together, you can expect:
- Honest conversations
- Thoughtful questions that encourage deeper reflection
- Practical coping tools
- Support without judgment
- Space to explore difficult emotions safely
- Real-life strategies you can use between sessions
My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and taken seriously.
Why I Became a Therapist
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in technology and product leadership. My work focused on understanding what people truly needed—not just what they said they needed.
That same curiosity guides my work today.
My own experience navigating postpartum life showed me how easily people can fall through the cracks and how powerful the right conversation at the right moment can be. Eventually, I realized I wanted to be directly involved in helping people navigate life’s most challenging seasons.

A Little About Me
I’m a mom of two young boys, a fiction writer, a yoga enthusiast, and a somewhat reluctant runner. I believe in approaching life with intention and a little bit of whimsy whenever possible.
I bring that same spirit into therapy—a balance of honesty, compassion, curiosity, and practical support.
Prior to entering the counseling field, I spent more than 10 years in product leadership and behavioral systems design, helping people navigate complex challenges and create meaningful change.
