Getting to know Caroline
Life can become exhausting when you feel like you are always scrambling, falling short, or trying to function within expectations that do not fit you.
Children may struggle to understand what teachers or peers expect of them. They may feel frustrated with school, shut down when they become overwhelmed, or come home exhausted from trying to hold everything together. As a parent, you may feel confused by your child’s needs, frustrated with yourself, resentful of how demanding life has become, or guilty that parenting does not feel the way you expected.
Adults can also reach a point where they no longer feel like themselves. Parenting, work, relationships, transitions, trauma, or substance use may leave you feeling anxious, angry, depleted, or out of control.
I provide a warm and encouraging environment where you can speak honestly, better understand your experiences, and find a clearer direction. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you build on your strengths, reconnect with your values, and develop practical ways to move forward.

Who I Help
I work with children, teenagers, and adults who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure how to move forward.
I am especially interested in working with neurodivergent children and teenagers who feel different, misunderstood, or exhausted by school and social expectations. I support young people who struggle with emotional regulation, attention, learning differences, anxiety, low self-worth, anger, or difficulty expressing what they need.
I also work with adults who feel overwhelmed by parenting, work, relationships, trauma, transitions, or substance use. This includes parents trying to better understand a neurodivergent child and women who feel burned out, disconnected, resentful, anxious, or unable to keep up with everything expected of them.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and responsive to each client’s individual needs. I draw from acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and narrative therapy.
Our work may help you recognize negative thought cycles, develop emotional-regulation skills, clarify your values, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with your underlying motivation.
When working with adults, I help clients understand where they are, determine where they want to go, and identify manageable steps for moving forward. When working with children, I focus on knowing and accepting each child as they are while helping them communicate, regulate, and feel better.
What to Expect in Therapy with Caroline
I offer warmth, encouragement, and practical structure. I will help you understand what you are experiencing, identify what matters to you, develop emotional-regulation skills, and create manageable plans for change.
In our sessions, you can expect space to tell your story, talk honestly about what is happening, and identify what is most important to you. I adapt therapy to the individual rather than expecting every client to respond to the same approach.
Sessions may include:
- Talking through current experiences and recurring patterns
- Identifying emotions, needs, strengths, and values
- Learning practical emotional-regulation and coping skills
- Exploring negative or unhelpful thought cycles
- Using movement or relaxation practices when appropriate
- Developing a plan for applying what you learn outside therapy
- Optional reflection or practice between appointments
I bring warmth and support to therapy while also helping you create direction and structure.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a therapist because I know what it is like to struggle, and I know what it is like to finally receive the help you need. I am here to pass on what was given to me.
Outside the Office
I am a musician, singer, and mother. I describe myself as pretty relaxed, although my child and partner may offer a different opinion. Outside therapy, I enjoy working in my flower garden, watching old movies, and eating birthday cake.
